BringAdvantages of Military Factories Into Play and Establish A New System of Combining the Mili-tary Product With the Civilian Product

   Henan Province,situated in Zhongyuan,is the pivot of railway transportation from north to south and from west to east,and its strategic is of great importance.so it has become one of the mephatic regions where our country builds national defense science and technology industry.Since theend of 1960s,according to the national unified pianning,it has done massive Sanxian constrction.It has become one of the advanced regions of national scienceand technology industey,which owns nucleus industry,astronautic industry,aeronautic industry, electronic industry, shinp-building industry and ordnance industry with complete branches, strong technical force and adcanced industrial equipments and neasuring and testing neans, and has made contributions to the state¡¯national defencse construction and the developmen of Henan¡¯s national economy.

   In recent years, under guidance ofthe principes of ¡°combining the military products with the cicilian product¡±, ¡®deepening reform¡± and ¡°opening to the outside world and gtting flexible to the inside¡±,we have vigorously developed cilvilian products, estabilshed such organizations in our susterm as technology development, economic and technical cooperation with foreign countries and export and import trade, overall reformed enterprises, improved business mechanism of commodity production and strengthened the vitality of enterprises. As a resule ,we have developed more than two hundred kinds of civilian products toward both domestic markets and foeign markets. Of them over hundred kinds were won the superior titles given by the state, ministry and province respectively. Such products as motorcycle, camer,elevator, textile machine, cigaretee machine,food machine,civilian gun, metal net,civilian explosive material, bike, regrigeration storeroom, refrigerator-car, automobile parts, high voltage capacitor, filter, condenser, and evaportor have entered

  Domestic and foreign markets and gained good appraisal. The output valut of civilian products in 1988 increased as three times as that in 1983 and accounted for 46 percent of total putput value of industry. Some products have arrived at high level and come to the fore all over the country. Now, the military factories in Henan, based on their own advantages and characteristics, insist on developing civilian products with high starting-point and high level, and try to build up a new system of combining the military product and the civilian product in order to make contribution to the development of national defense cause and the vitalization of economy in Henan.
